Quick Answer: The best Dri-Eaz dehumidifier for most buyers in 2026 is the LGR 6500XLi: 125 pints a day at AHAM conditions and 245 at saturation, 7.8 amps, and $3,199 at Sylvane on November 4, 2026, which is $300 less than the older LGR 7000XLi it nearly matches. For a crawl space, the PHD 200 ($1,623.99) is the cheapest Dri-Eaz per pint and is built to stay installed, with an optional kit to hang it from the joists. If you’re a homeowner drying out after a single flood, renting a Dri-Eaz beats buying one.
Dri-Eaz is the restoration brand of Legend Brands, and its dehumidifiers are built for water-damage crews rather than living rooms. That shows in the specs: most current models list two capacity numbers instead of one, an Xactimate code for insurance estimates, a 25-foot cord and a 40-foot drain hose. It also shows in the prices. Sylvane’s eight current Dri-Eaz listings run from $1,623.99 to $4,389.99, or $21.95 to $35.16 per AHAM pint, against roughly $5 per DOE pint for a $250 50-pint home unit.
We compared the full current lineup on Legend Brands’ published specifications, prices from Legend’s own store and from Sylvane (an authorized dealer) checked November 4, 2026, and the warranty terms each listing states. We do not test dehumidifiers ourselves; capacities below are the manufacturer’s ratings.

Specs are from Legend Brands’ product pages on legendbrands.com, except the LGR 130, which isn’t in Legend’s main catalog; its figures come from Sylvane’s listing. *Legend’s own store describes the LGR 130 as removing “up to 130 pints of water per day under AHAM conditions”, while Sylvane lists 70 pints AHAM and 135 at saturation; the 70/135 pair matches how every other Dri-Eaz is rated, so we use it. “Legend store price” is shop.legendbrands.com on November 4, 2026. Xactimate is the claims-estimating software that restoration contractors and insurance adjusters use; its dehumidifier codes bill equipment per 24 hours by size class, from the base WTRDHM up through Large (>L), Extra Large (>>XL) and Extra Extra Large (>>>XXL).
Dri-Eaz dehumidifiers by the numbers
- 1.6x to 2.2x: how much higher each model’s saturation rating is than its AHAM rating, per Legend Brands’ spec sheets. The LGR 6000Li goes from 100 to 219 pints, the PHD 200 from 74 to 120. Same machine, wetter test room.
- $21.95 to $35.16: the price per AHAM pint across the lineup at Sylvane’s November 4, 2026 prices. The PHD 200 is cheapest per pint and the DrizAir 1400 the most expensive.
- $300: how much less the LGR 6500XLi ($3,199) cost than the LGR 7000XLi ($3,499) at Sylvane, for 5 fewer AHAM pints but 10 more saturation pints, 40 more CFM and 1 amp less draw.
- 12 amps: the most a 15-amp household circuit should carry for a load that runs three hours or more, because the National Electrical Code sizes the breaker at 125% of a continuous load (Section 210.20(A)). The LGR 3500i alone draws 10.8.
- 0: Dri-Eaz models in ENERGY STAR’s certified-dehumidifier dataset, which lists 141 brands including AlorAir, Aprilaire and Santa Fe. Dri-Eaz publishes no DOE (65°F) rating for any current model.
- 0: Dri-Eaz recalls in the CPSC’s recall database, checked November 4, 2026.
Which Dri-Eaz fits your job
| Your situation | Best Dri-Eaz | Why |

| Everyday water-damage jobs on a budget | LGR 6000Li | 100 AHAM pints, 6.5 A, $26.00 per AHAM pint |
| Crawl space or mechanical room, permanent | PHD 200 | Hangs from joists, built-in pump, humidistat in 5% steps |
| Carrying units up stairs or stacking two on a hand truck | LGR 5000Li | 69 lb, 19.5 in tall, stacks two high to roll |
| Large loss, one big open space | LGR 3500i | 170 AHAM pints, rated for 17,000 cubic feet |
| A homeowner after one flood | Rent, don’t buy | 13-22 rental days cost as much as the cheapest Dri-Eaz |
The best Dri-Eaz dehumidifiers in 2026
1. Dri-Eaz LGR 6500XLi: Best Overall
- Legend Brands describes it as XL drying capacity "in the same quiet, compact footprint" as the LGR 6000Li: both measure 32.1 x 19.8 x 20.0 in., both are rated at 53 dB, and both take 12-inch layflat ducting on the outlet.
- Xactimate code WTRDHM>>XL, the same Extra Large class as the 7000XLi, from a unit the size of a Large.
- Uses Extreme Dew Point Technology (EDT), Legend's name for the control system that adjusts to jobsite conditions, plus the Command Hub touchscreen with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi monitoring through the free Command Center Pro app.
- Warranty per Sylvane's listing: 1 year parts and labor, 6 years compressor and coils, lifetime housing. R32 refrigerant, 33-100°F operating range.
- The catch: Legend lists 106 lb but gives the metric weight as 44.9 kg, which is the 6000Li's 99 lb. Plan on the heavier figure.
The 6500XLi is the pick because it turns the usual trade-off around. You’d normally give up airflow or add weight to move up a size class; here you get the 7000XLi’s Xactimate class with more saturation capacity, more airflow and less current, for less money. At $25.59 per AHAM pint it is also the third-cheapest Dri-Eaz per pint, behind only the PHD 200 and the LGR 130.
2. Dri-Eaz LGR 6000Li: Best Value Large LGR
- Legend calls it "the quietest and best-performing compact, easy-transport Xactimate Large dehumidifier": 53 dB, 99 lb, Xactimate WTRDHM>L.
- Same 320 CFM airflow and the same housing as the 6500XLi, with a spill-proof pump basin that holds the water left after the final purge cycle.
- 748 W, per Legend. Running 24 hours a day that's about 18.0 kWh, or $3.31 a day at the EIA's August 2026 average of 18.44 cents per kWh.
- Sylvane had it $279 below Legend's own price on November 4, 2026, which makes it $26.00 per AHAM pint.
If your jobs are mostly one or two wet rooms, the 6000Li does the work for $599 less than the 6500XLi. At 6.5 A, though, two of them won’t share a 15-amp circuit; the 6500XLi draws 7.8 A, so neither model pairs on one.
3. Dri-Eaz PHD 200: Best for Crawl Spaces
- Legend built it for "crawlspace and other temporary use or installation in moisture-prone areas that need ongoing humidity control". An optional suspension kit (part 106773) hangs it from the joists.
- Humidistat from 40% to 90% RH in 5% steps, and an automatic pump that lifts water up to 3 ft above the unit. Sylvane says it ships with a 20-foot drain hose.
- Only 17.6 in. tall and 65 lb, and rated at 55 dB.
- Cheapest Dri-Eaz per pint at $21.95 per AHAM pint.
- The trade-offs: its operating range starts at 45°F, not the 33°F of the LGR models, and Sylvane lists only a 1-year parts and labor warranty, with no separate compressor term.
For an encapsulated crawl space, the PHD 200 is the Dri-Eaz to own, because it’s designed to stay installed rather than roll from job to job. It still costs several times what a dedicated crawl space unit does, so compare it with the picks in our best crawl space dehumidifier guide before you buy.
4. Dri-Eaz LGR 5000Li: Best Compact LGR
- 19.5 in. tall and 69 lb. Legend says two lock together to roll on a hand truck and three stack for storage.
- Draws 5.1 A, so two fit on one 15-amp circuit with 1.8 A to spare under the 12-amp continuous limit.
- Bluetooth and Wi-Fi touchpad with English and Spanish controls; takes 12-inch layflat ducting.
- Sylvane redirects its old Revolution LGR page to the 5000Li, and the two share the same 80-pint AHAM rating, but the 5000Li adds 20 saturation pints and 35 CFM.
- The catch: $33.73 per AHAM pint, the second-highest in the lineup, and it was sold out on Legend's own store on November 4, 2026.
5. Dri-Eaz LGR 3500i: Best for Large Losses
- Legend's "largest-capacity model", rated for spaces up to 17,000 cubic feet, with Xactimate code WTRDHM>>>XXL.
- 400 CFM, the highest airflow of any Dri-Eaz, at a 70 dB average.
- At 10.8 A it needs a 15-amp circuit to itself, with no room for an air mover.
- Sylvane's listing still quotes "up to 240 pints" per day, an older figure; Legend's current spec sheet says 270 at saturation. Sylvane also cites a 6-year compressor warranty.
The 3500i was $681 below Legend’s price at Sylvane, which brings it to $25.82 per AHAM pint, close to the 6500XLi. It makes sense when one machine has to cover a large open space; for several rooms, two 6500XLis on separate circuits move more air.
6. Dri-Eaz LGR 7000XLi: The Old Standard
- Patented crossflow design, per Legend, and a sealed large-capacity pump basin meant to hold the water from an unplanned defrost after a power cut.
- A handle 2 in. taller for stairs that folds down for storage, per Legend, with cord and hose storage built in.
- Still has the highest AHAM rating under the 3500i, at 130 pints.
The 7000XLi is the unit this site’s commercial dehumidifier and water damage guides use as the Dri-Eaz benchmark, and it’s still a good machine. It’s sixth here because the 6500XLi now does almost everything it does for $300 less, with less current draw.
7. Dri-Eaz DrizAir 1400: Smallest, but Not an LGR
- Replaced the DrizAir 1200, which Legend says had been in service "for more than 25 years". Legend markets the 1400 as "half the size of other dehus".
- It carries Xactimate's base dehumidifier code (WTRDHM), one class below the Large code of the LGR 5000Li and 6000Li, and Legend doesn't market it as an LGR; it called the 1200 a "standard dehumidifier".
- Lowest draw in the lineup: 4.7 A and 541 W, about 13.0 kWh or $2.39 a day running around the clock at 18.44 cents per kWh.
- Warranty per Sylvane: 6 years on the compressor, 1 year parts and labor.
- The catch: $35.16 per AHAM pint, the most expensive Dri-Eaz per pint.
8. Dri-Eaz LGR 130: Cheapest Way Into a Dri-Eaz LGR
- Sylvane lists a 2,600 sq ft room size, an internal condensate pump, R-32 refrigerant, 86 lb and a 70 dB maximum.
- Warranty per Sylvane: lifetime housing, 6 years compressor and coils, 1 year parts and labor.
- 610 W is about $2.70 a day running 24 hours at the EIA's August 2026 rate.
- The catch: it isn't in Legend's main product catalog, and Legend's own store page claims 130 AHAM pints while Sylvane lists 70. We'd wait for a Legend spec sheet before buying on capacity.
Also considered
- Revolution LGR: still on Legend’s product pages (80 pints AHAM, 144 at saturation, 63 lb, 61 dB), but Sylvane now sends Revolution shoppers to the LGR 5000Li, and Legend’s store doesn’t sell it.
- DriTec 4000i desiccant: listed at $4,615 by Sylvane but out of stock on November 4, 2026. Desiccant units suit cold spaces where refrigerant coils frost, which is a narrow restoration job.
- LGR 2800i: an older i-Series unit that shows up only as open-box stock at Sylvane, at a $4,327 list price.
- AlorAir Storm LGR Extreme: not a Dri-Eaz, but the usual alternative. It’s rated at 85 AHAM pints and 180 at saturation for roughly $650-800, which is why our AlorAir guide recommends it to most homeowners over any legacy restoration brand.
Pints, circuits and running costs
Why Dri-Eaz pints don’t match home dehumidifier pints. Home dehumidifiers have been rated at 65°F under the Department of Energy’s test since 2019. Dri-Eaz rates at AHAM conditions (80°F, 60% RH) and at saturation (90°F, 90% RH). Warmer, wetter air gives up more water, so both Dri-Eaz numbers run higher than a DOE rating for the same hardware would. Our dehumidifier size guide explains the home ratings; for Dri-Eaz, compare models with each other on the AHAM number.
How many units fit on one circuit. These limits use the 80% continuous-load rule from NEC Section 210.20(A): 12 amps on a 15-amp circuit and 16 amps on a 20-amp circuit.
| Model | Amps | Units per 15-amp circuit | Units per 20-amp circuit |
|---|---|---|---|
| DrizAir 1400 | 4.7 | 2 | 3 |
| LGR 5000Li | 5.1 | 2 | 3 |
| LGR 130 | 5.3 | 2 | 3 |
| PHD 200 | 6.2 | 1 | 2 |
| LGR 6000Li | 6.5 | 1 | 2 |
| LGR 6500XLi | 7.8 | 1 | 2 |
| LGR 7000XLi | 8.8 | 1 | 1 |
| LGR 3500i | 10.8 | 1 | 1 |
Air movers and anything else on the circuit count against the same limit.
What a day of running costs. Only three models have a published wattage. At the EIA’s August 2026 national average of 18.44 cents per kWh, running 24 hours a day:
| Model | Watts (source) | kWh per day | Cost per day |
|---|---|---|---|
| DrizAir 1400 | 541 W (Legend) | 13.0 | $2.39 |
| LGR 130 | 610 W (Sylvane) | 14.6 | $2.70 |
| LGR 6000Li | 748 W (Legend) | 18.0 | $3.31 |
Our dehumidifier electricity guide has the same figures for home units.
Filters add up. Every current LGR uses Dri-Eaz’s 4-PRO filter, sold in 24-packs on Legend’s store: $384 for the pack that fits the DrizAir 1400, LGR 5000Li and 7000XLi ($16 a filter), $510 for the LGR 6000Li ($21.25) and $714 for the 2800i/3500i ($29.75).
How to choose a Dri-Eaz dehumidifier
- Decide whether to rent first. Restoration-grade LGRs typically rent for $75-125 a day, the planning range in our dehumidifier rental guide. At that rate the PHD 200 costs as much as 13-22 rental days and the LGR 6500XLi as much as 26-43. One flood is a rental; a business, or a crawl space that’s damp every summer, is a purchase.
- Compare AHAM pints, then price per pint. The AHAM figure is the fairer comparison between models. The table above runs from $21.95 per pint (PHD 200) to $35.16 (DrizAir 1400).
- Count amps before you count units. The circuit table decides how many machines a house can run at once, especially with air movers plugged in too.
- Check weight and height if you carry units. The LGR 5000Li (69 lb) and DrizAir 1400 (66.5 lb) are under 20 in. tall; the LGR 3500i is 157 lb and 40.5 in. tall.
- Buy from an authorized dealer. Legend Brands’ warranty statement covers the original purchaser who bought from an authorized Dri-Eaz distributor, so a used fleet unit from an auction usually has no warranty left.
- Confirm the warranty on the exact model. Housing, compressor and parts terms differ: Sylvane lists a lifetime housing warranty for the LGR 6500XLi and LGR 130, 6 years on the compressor for the DrizAir 1400, and only 1 year on parts and labor for the PHD 200.

The bottom line
The Dri-Eaz LGR 6500XLi is the best Dri-Eaz dehumidifier for most buyers in 2026: Xactimate XL capacity (125 AHAM pints, 245 at saturation) in the compact 6000Li housing, 7.8 amps, and $3,199 at Sylvane, $300 less than the LGR 7000XLi. Choose the LGR 6000Li ($2,599.99) for everyday jobs, the PHD 200 ($1,623.99) for a crawl space it will stay in, and the LGR 3500i for one big open space. For a single flood at home, rent one.
