Quick Answer: Sam’s Club’s own dehumidifier page currently lists three brands in stock: Amana (50-pint with pump, about $299), Keystone (35-pint, electronic controls), and MaxxAir (two commercial units priced over $1,000). The Amana 50-Pint with Pump — model AMND501PAW — is the best overall pick here, though Home Depot and HD Supply sell the exact same model for $262.60-$269.99, roughly $30-37 less than Sam’s Club’s own price. Buying guides that also list Frigidaire and Whynter as Sam’s Club brands don’t match what we could confirm live on samsclub.com today.
This is the third retailer-specific guide on this site, after what’s actually on Costco’s shelf and Walmart’s mix of real brands and marketplace imports. Sam’s Club has its own version of the problem: a short, club-style lineup where the brand names on third-party buying guides don’t all check out against what’s actually live on Sam’s Club’s own page right now.
What’s actually live on Sam’s Club’s dehumidifier page
| Model | Capacity | Coverage | Pump | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Amana 50-Pint with Pump (AMND501PAW) | 50 pints/day | Up to 4,500 sq ft | Yes | ~$299 (Sam's Club); $262-270 elsewhere |
| Keystone 35-Pint Electronic Controls | 35 pints/day | Up to 3,000 sq ft | No | ~$190-230 (varies by source and date) |
| MaxxAir Metal Commercial Dehumidifier | Not independently confirmed | Not independently confirmed | Not confirmed | ~$1,011 |
| MaxxAir Molded Rotational Commercial Dehumidifier | Not independently confirmed | Not independently confirmed | Not confirmed | ~$1,293 |
That Amana model number is worth pausing on. Our own best Amana dehumidifier guide covers two models — the 50-pint AMND501AW and the 48-pint AMAD481BW — and says flatly that neither current Amana model has a built-in pump. That’s true of those two SKUs, but it misses a third: AMND501PAW, the pump-equipped sibling of the AMND501AW, confirmed via Home Depot’s listing, HD Supply’s product page, and Sylvane’s own Amana spec sheet. Same 50-pint capacity, same 3 fan speeds, about one pound heavier (40.7 lb vs. 39.6 lb) to house the pump. It’s the exact unit Sam’s Club sells — just not one our own prior research had caught.
The three real picks
Amana 50-Pint with Pump (AMND501PAW)
- The only pump-equipped Amana dehumidifier currently made — useful if you need to drain uphill or into a sink rather than relying on gravity, unlike the non-pump AMND501AW and AMAD481BW covered on our Amana brand page.
- Sam's Club's own listing price, about $299, runs $30-37 higher than Home Depot ($262.60-$269.99) and HD Supply ($269.00) for the identical model number — check both before assuming the club price is the deal.
- Amana's name does appear in the CPSC's 2021 New Widetech recall, but the recalled D-prefix model numbers predate the current AM-prefix lineup, including this one (see FAQ below).

Keystone 35-Pint Electronic Controls
- Sits in the middle of our own best Keystone dehumidifier lineup, which prices the same 35-pint class at about $209-230 at other retailers — one Sam's Club price snapshot we found showed $189.98, but that listing was flagged as several years old, so treat it as a historical data point rather than today's shelf price.
- Like every Keystone unit, it's built by Midea — the same manufacturer tied to the 2016 CPSC recall discussed in the FAQ below, though that recall doesn't reach the current Keystone lineup.
- No pump, so it drains to the internal bucket or via a gravity hose — fine for a basement with a floor drain nearby, less convenient for a room without one.
MaxxAir Commercial Dehumidifier
- MaxxAir (a Ventamatic brand, previously part of Airxcel) is best known for RV roof vents and exhaust fans, not dehumidifiers — a different situation from Amana and Keystone, which both have dedicated appliance-brand histories and spec sheets published across multiple retailers.
- We could not independently verify a pints-per-day rating, square-footage coverage, or manufacturer spec sheet for either MaxxAir model beyond Sam's Club's own listing — if you need this for a flood-restoration or large-crawl-space job, ask Sam's Club directly for the spec sheet before buying, rather than assuming it matches similarly-priced commercial units from Costway or Dapper Supply.
- At $1,011-$1,293, this tier costs 4-6x what the Amana or Keystone picks above run — reasonable for an actual restoration job, overkill for a basement or bedroom.
The brands that don’t check out
Several buying guides describing Sam’s Club’s dehumidifier selection list Frigidaire and Whynter alongside Amana, Keystone, and MaxxAir. We looked for both. Frigidaire’s own current 50-pint dehumidifier pricing (around $197-220, per our Frigidaire brand guide) comes entirely from Frigidaire’s own retail channels, not from any Sam’s Club listing we could find. Whynter is a stronger case of a stale list: our Whynter dehumidifier guide already documented that every standalone Whynter dehumidifier model — all ten we found, 30 to 70 pints — is tagged discontinued on Whynter’s own site, with no replacement line announced. A buying guide naming Whynter as a current Sam’s Club option is almost certainly describing an old snapshot of the page, not what’s there now.
Sam’s Club’s dehumidifier selection by the numbers
- $30-37: the price gap between Sam’s Club’s own listing for the Amana AMND501PAW ($299) and the same model at Home Depot ($262.60-$269.99) and HD Supply ($269.00) — the club isn’t automatically the cheapest source for a shared SKU.
- $1,011-$1,293: MaxxAir’s two commercial dehumidifiers at Sam’s Club — a 4-6x premium over the Amana and Keystone residential picks on this same page, for a brand with no independently verified pint-per-day spec.
- 3.4 million units / $4.8 million: the scale of the CPSC’s 2016 Midea recall (units sold 2003-2013 under 50+ brand names, including Keystone) — property damage from 38 reported fires, per CPSC’s own recall notice.
- 10 of 10: the number of standalone Whynter dehumidifier models we found discontinued on Whynter’s own site — the reason we don’t treat any guide’s claim that Whynter sells at Sam’s Club as current.
The bottom line
If you’re buying a dehumidifier at Sam’s Club, the Amana 50-Pint with Pump (AMND501PAW) and the Keystone 35-Pint are both real, currently-stocked units worth considering — just check Home Depot’s price on the Amana first, since it’s reliably cheaper for the identical model. MaxxAir’s commercial units are for an actual restoration or large-space job, not a bedroom or bathroom, and we’d want a real spec sheet in hand before paying four figures for one. Skip any buying guide that sends you to Sam’s Club looking for a Frigidaire or Whynter dehumidifier — neither checks out against what’s actually there. For a wider, independently-verifiable lineup at either capacity, our best dehumidifier pillar and best 50-pint dehumidifier guide are the better starting point.
